Material Data Administrator - Inventory - Oil & Gas

Our client is a leading oil & gas firm in UAE, they are seeking to recruit qualified material data administrator to join their team in Jebel Ali operation. The objective of this role is to keep the inventory levels according to the criteria for material management without affecting the services to the operations team with focus on time & money savings. Strong knowledge in Materials for Drilling Production & Maintenance of onshore & offshore within oil & gas industry is a must for this role.

Reporting to Inventory Planner Supervisor, the job holder shall manage two staff and shall be fully responsible for the managing and maintaining of the Material Master (MM) database, and spare-parts technical catalogue in way that ensures providing technical, quality and operational information to the concern group. In addition, to facilitate the accurate identification of equipment and material produced and held in the inventory. Updating the Material Master Data Base frequently is a must for this role. The job holder shall work closely with the inventory planner, create new items in the MM database on Oracle system, conduct all sort of required modification on MM database, design & upload standardized templates for MM numbers requested on DPE SharePoint in order to make the MM numbers requested for all users easy and faster.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role is:
• Possess a qualified degree related to this discipline
• Possess at least five years working experience in material management gained from being working within oil & gas industry
• Knowledgeable in ware-house operations, inventory management and stock control
• Experienced in cataloguing activities for oil & gas industry.
• Hands-on experience in Inventory Management Systems
• Possess high-level of computer literacy, in particular Oracle systems.
• Experienced in producing reports and possess high quality analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge in material used for drilling, production and maintenance for onshore/ offshore oil & gas operations.
• Possess general knowledge in international Standards & Specifications such as: API, ASTM, ASME etc
• Possess the ability and experience in keeping and controlling the inventory level in its productive point that saves time & money and without affecting a smooth running of the operation
• Possess excellent communication skill and able to work under pressure.
