Job description / Role
Are you an experienced material engineer who has experience working on major pipeline construction projects? If so then we are keen to hear from you. Leap29 are working with a major contractor who have a requirement for a Materials Engineer to join them on an 18 month contract.
You will be required to work a 90 day on, 15 day off rotation, based at a site in the UAE. The project you are working on is a major pipeline construction project for one of the ADNOC companies.
The successful Materials Engineer will be responsible for all material manufacturing and inspection activities from engineering through to procurement stages.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree
- Strong knowledge of international codes and regulations
- Worked on major pipeline projects - onshore and offshore required
- Thorough knowledge of main metallic materials and alloys
- Experience in the fabrication of components such as pipes, flanges, valves and coatings
- Knowledge of NDT, corrosion and welding practices
