Material Planner (Aviation)

Job description / Role

To plan and ensure availability of material for the required maintenance as planned as well to ensure and apply a minimum stock level is maintained at all time.
• Analysis of data gathered for material requirements and does everything possible to ensure material availabilityTo plan and ensure availability of material for the required maintenance as planned as well to ensure and apply a minimum stock level is maintained at all time.

- Ensure to assign correct priorities for the procurement of materials against shortages
- Maintain daily status in order to determine priority of aircraft materials
- Ensure that all AOG requirements are obtain immediately
- Ensure that stock demands are raised for all stock items when a stock level reach approved minimum and reviews or amends them when necessary.
- Liaise with the user department to estimate their future requirements of stock items and updates maximum/minimum and critical stock levels.
- Ensure that all technical purchase orders and outside repair/overhaul are expedited to meet required delivery dates. In case of critical/AOG orders, delivery schedules are closely monitored and coordinated with purchasing to ensure items are received in time.

Requirements

* Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
* 7 years’ experience in Material Planning & Controller
* Technical knowledge of Aviation products and materials.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with effective problem solving abilities
* Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organisation and external customers
