Material Planning & Control Manager (Aviation)

Job description / Role

- To plan, direct, control and lead all works conducted in Material Planning & Control Section to ensure efficient operation within the Budget.
- Manage all Material Planning & Control Sections
- Ensure to assign correct priorities for the procurement of materials against shortages
- Organize and control workflow through the Section ensuring minimal delay at all section levels.
- Perform recommended procedures, work practices and staff training.
- Liaise with the user department to estimate their future requirements of stock items and updates maximum/minimum and critical stock levels.
- Develop capabilities to accommodate wider scope of work.
- Running the day to day work of the department.
- Ensure that all technical purchase orders and outside repair/overhaul are expedited to meet required delivery dates. In case of critical/AOG orders, delivery schedules are closely monitored and coordinated with purchasing to ensure items are received in time.
- Ensure and comply safety, health and environmental procedures of work and staff.

Requirements

* Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent and Advanced Management training
* 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain & Control in Aviation
* Technical knowledge of Aviation products and materials.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with effective problem solving abilities
* Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organisation and external customers
