Employment: Full Time

Role Summary:

The Materials Planner/Buyer will:
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments of the site) according to production schedules for OTR conversion
- Plan and schedule material / production needs
- Strong focus on cash for the business, while balancing service to the customer

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Materials Planner/Buyer, you will:
- Manage material requirements planning, material processes and systems to support M&C projects, while hitting inventory targets, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs
- Ensure the schedule alignments, optimize inventory and process improvements to deliver to customer on time
- Coordinating / expediting material flow to meet customer delivery requirements
- Working within defined parameters to make decisions amid complex scenarios, resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning, and monitoring implementation of corrective action plans
- Ensure inventory goals are met by identifying and driving inventory projects
- Analyzing data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels, and reduce total costs
- Develop and implement inventory management strategy that assures inventory and service level goals are met in parallel. Improve inventory accuracy through increased oversight and regular cycle counts
- Interfacing with key stakeholders both internal and external to the M&C team through effective communication across direct organization and function including executive business leadership
- Maintaining accurate traceability for all records created during manufacturing of products and transfers, while ensuring compliance is maintained on all material movements including completion of applicable work package reviews for material and fiscal accuracy
- Communicating and supporting long and short-term strategy and goals of M&C
- Own Material fulfillment function within the MENAT M&C function including managing all material flow support 3PL inventory model, championing key business metrics, and owning critical material elevation
- Represent site and materials team leadership as needed during key business meetings
- Ensure full compliance with BHGE Policies & Procedures while undertaking all aspects of this role
- Ensure operational alignment with production plan and defined KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Actively partner with Plant leader in production planning & provide inputs from materials perspective
- Analyze requests submitted by fiscal authorities and prepares responses for deferral (Physical Inventory)

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Materials and/or related field
- APICS CPIM certified

- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Analytical and computer literacy skills, including a solid understanding of Excel and SAP ERP software
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface with large cross-section of BHGE business and external stakeholders. Professional attributes allowing effective communication with customers, auditors, etc.
- Good team player with flexible approach
- Proven track record of delivery in a challenging role
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work and communicate in a well-organized and structured manner
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed team environment and effectively perform under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and coordinate several projects and priorities simultaneously
