Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible to the Workshop Supervisor to perform detailed maintenance, repair and rebuilding of wide variety of complex marine machinery and systems onboard Company owned and managed vessels and shore-based equipment and machinery.

Operational Activities
- Performance of equipment and machinery maintenance and repair and replacement of major components and systems.
- Performance of work in accordance with established marine maintenance and repair practices.
- Performance of maintenance and repair through the use of technical manuals and in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Use tools and trade specific equipment to dismantle, install and test marine equipment and machinery.
- Perform equipment and machinery testing, adjusting and repair including routine diagnosis of marine equipment failure.
- Perform independently, or within the workshop team, standard marine equipment repair and maintenance.
- Maintaining high standard of housekeeping of his area of work.
- Familiarising himself with details of emergency stations and procedures.
- Using appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing.
- Undertake other assignments as deemed appropriate by the Foreman, Workshop or by the division’s management.

Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the department’s systems, processes.
- Seek for more & new information to improve the quality of work done.

Safety, Quality & Environment
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Conduct all business activities in accordance to ESNAAD HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and ESNAAD Core Values.

Requirements

- Completion of Secondary Educations (12 years) plus 2 years' formal training or apprenticeship in the mechanical trades.
- 4 years' experience in in marine fleet maintenance/ equipment or a similar environment.

About the Company

ESNAAD is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADNOC. The facility currently known as Mussafah Offshore Supply Base (MOSB) is strategically located at the Industrial hub of Mussafah approximately 40kms by road from the city center of Abu Dhabi.
