Job description / Role
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Structural Engineer experienced in the design of Solar Mounting Structures in the Photovoltaic industry.
Responsibilities:
• Carrying out site inspections & recommending the best suitable PV mounting structure solutions.
• Designing and customizing the structural solutions related to the PV Mounting Systems.
• Provide Product Customization as per the Project requirements.
• Handle the PV Mounting Structure designs for ground mounted & all type of rooftops.
• Knowledge of soil testing.
• Provide the engineering support during the installation process.
• Work closely with the production team for the development of the PV Mounting Structure.
• Meeting with consultants, contractors & end users.
• Ability to travel.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Structural Design.
• Strong knowledge of structural design of steel & aluminium Structures specific to Photovoltaic industry.
• Experience in value engineering of Photovoltaic projects.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge
• Knowledge of relevant software’s, Solid works, Ansys, Stradpro or any other 3d design software will be appreciated.
• Experience in providing technical support in PV Mounting structure design & installations.
• Excellent knowledge of English language.
