Mechanical Engineer (Water) - Abu Dhabi, UAE

CH2M's Water business is expanding its delivery capabilities in the UAE offices to support the delivery of major water related projects throughout the Middle East region.

Our continued growth and development has led to an increased need for an entry level water engineer to join our Engineering & Design team.

The team deals with a wide range of public, private and industrial water sector clients.
- Pumping station design (sewerage, drainage, irrigation and fire fighting system)
- Water & Wastewater treatment works design for mechanical plant (pumps, screens, valves)
- Prepare pipe line design and hydraulic calculations and drawings
- Prepare Tender documents, Mechanical Specifications and Datasheets
- Preparing technical reports and presentations
- Site inspections of mechanical plant
- Site visit for data collection and verification
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)

Requirements

- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering (Masters an advantage)
- Willingness to develop career to CEng
- Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Previous work experience in pipe line design
- Previous work experience in Water & Wastewater industry
- Previous experience in engineering consultancy
- Experience of working on projects for MENA clients preferred
- Previous site work experience
- Willingness to work throughout Middle East region
- Periodic travel to offices within MENAI region will be expected
- Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bently Software, Microstation, GIS and 3D Modelling Tools.
