Employment: Full Time

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To contribute to the growth of Empire Group by supporting the media planning and media sales teams in pitching new campaigns, servicing existing clients and co-ordinating live campaigns.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

FUNCTION
Play a supportive role to the planning and sales teams working closely with them to plan and implement media campaigns for new and existing clients.

TASKS
• Support the media planners and media sales team to ensure that they are able to service new and existing clients effectively and efficiently
• Assisting the sales and planning teams to compile accurate and on-time media plans and presentations for pitching to new clients
• Gathering information on media assets as needed to satisfy client brief
• Build and nurture relationships with media owners
• Play a key role in maintaining the upkeep of Empire Group’s media planning systems and information
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to process campaign documentation and campaign artwork and production materials to ensure the success of their campaigns
• Liaise with suppliers to process the required campaign paperwork
• Liaise with internal finance team to ensure accurate processing of campaign media schedules, invoices, booking orders and invoices
• Carry out analysis of data, research and statistics in order to evaluate the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of campaigns
• Take photos and collect logs once campaigns go live
• Support the planning teams and sales team with general campaign administration
• Work with high attention to detail and accuracy at all times

• 24-hour turn around on new media plans and presentations
• Development of a successful network of relationships with suppliers (existing and new)
• Ability to source information and rates on media assets required to plan a successful client campaign
• Campaigns launched on time and within budget
• Feedback from planning and sales teams on contribution to campaigns

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL
• Degree educated (bachelor)

ADVANTAGEOUS
• A tertiary degree in advertising, sales, marketing or business management
• Post-graduate qualifications and/or certificates
• Experience

ESSENTIAL
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a media planning or coordination role
• Experience planning and coordinating in one or more media channels
• Ability to compile campaign and media plans and presentations for clients
• Thorough understanding of campaign evaluation metrics and ability to compile campaign reports for clients
• An understanding across all areas of traditional media – radio, outdoor, print and TV
• Experience in supplier and client liaison at various levels
• Demonstrate experience of building effective media campaigns
• Experience in dealing with financial documentation relating to typical campaign transactions – booking orders, purchase orders, invoices, media plans

ADVANTAGEOUS
• A personal network and database of media owners
• Experience using NEOSYS media planning software
• Some financial experience relating to media campaigns
• Knowledge of media analytics
