Position Summary

We are excited to be recruiting for this key position, reporting into the Communications & Marketing Services Director, and are looking for an experienced Communications professional to lead the external perception of Nestle's brand as a leader in Nutrition Health & Wellness /Creating Shared Value. The core role focusses on building relationships and a climate of trust with editors and journalists and through this deliver greater Media exposure for Nestle across the region.

A day in the life of

- The first part of any day is looking at the annual communications plan, and seeing what content and events we have going on. This plan is built by you, in line with corporates annual activity planner, so it's key you keep a close eye that the content is engaging, on time, and in line with both local and global priorities
- We are about to launch a brand new line of KitKats, and as such you ensure you're liaising with press and internal events management to ensure this gets coverage across the region. Gaining free PR is a competitive job, so every day you ensure you're fostering mutually beneficial relationships with local, national and international media.
- You are the 'mouthpiece' of Nestle Middle East, and as such you quite often get pulled into urgent meetings to prepare position statements on something that's happening in the news. This could be around our commitment to the environment, our trade deals and relationships with different parts of the region, or around a new innovation in the marketplace. With so much going on, you need to be comfortable being agile and ready for anything
- You run regular media training for colleagues-with such a big region you need to ensure you have support from the business in being comfortable with press interviews and panels
- Collaboration is key to your success. Before you go home, you have a regular meeting with other stakeholders who contribute to the social and digital presence of Nestlein the market. You have these meetings a lot-with Zone, with Corporate, with the CoC (Center of Competency); you really help drive how we communicate as a business so partner with many internal stakeholders to ensure our message in consistent and authentic.

Requirements

What Will Make You Successful?
- Experience in journalism or an external communication agency will help you understand your stakeholders and partners, so that would be a great advantage
- You have responsibility for a great deal of our content, so you need to have proven success in a media environment
- A lot of the work we do is local as well as global, so it's essential you have strong language skills in English and Arabic-both spoken and written
- You manage a lot of stakeholders, both internal and external, so you need to be a confident project manager, with an eye for detail and the ability to drive and influence.
- Bachelor's Degree
