Employment: Full Time

The MENAT Industrial Internet IT Analyst will coordinate project plan activities and implementation across different GE platforms in the MENAT Region for Industrial Internet and Cyber Security and network deployment. Enable local Cloud with global/local partners. Support P&Ls for… software & network infrastructure. Play a P&L agnostic role to help drive/support the industrial internet projects with the right outcomes and acceleration.

Responsibilities:
- Establish a deep understanding of our customers business and technical needs, by connecting with the customers, on a technical level, as well as on a solution level.
- Create a “trusted technical advisor” relationship with our customer’s technologists and internal technical teammates
- Develop solution architecture framework to support solution selling on an enterprise & channel level
- Help to provide vision, define system and application architecture, problem anticipation and problem solving ability across the landscape
- Problem anticipation and problem solving ability across the landscape - Help Provide deep HW/SW technical architecture expertise to ensure proper solution design
- Lead change across Predix/functional areas using technology solutions
- Interface with CTOs and commercial leaders to ensure alignment to sales process and priorities
- Support pre-sales activities including customer engagements, RFx responses and proof-of-concepts design/execution
- Evangelize GE technology platform in appropriate sales forums to drive demand and continued interest
- Build link to provocative selling model to ensure architecture views are properly integrated
- Develop evolution path and migration plans for key GE customers from their current state to the target GE digital strategy
- Shape, drive and be held accountable for delivering significant strategic initiatives across broad scope/platform(s) in liaison with key stakeholders
- Provide competitive analysis of comparable products/solutions in the market to internal stakeholders; Provide customer feedback to help define roadmap
- Drive product development and delivery in conjunction with other GE technology teams
- Work with cross-functional team leaders and individuals to ensure that new product development is done on time, to right quality and cost
- Provide hands-on guidance & coaching to engineers, testers and architects in a distributed environment. This includes operating daily scrum meetings and participation in scrum of scrum meetings with the global team
- Leverage cross-functional and cross-business resources to maximize the impact and expedite execution of the II and Predix cloud platform projects.
- Establish a systematic Project plan that supports the Industrial Internet initiatives in the region and ties with Predix roadmap & strategy and goals for Industrial Internet
- Engage global functions (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Marketing, Legal, Finance, HR) in developing and implementing robust processes to support the Industrial Internet projects touching each function
- Coordinate with GE P&L Global HQ and San Ramon, Commercial COE on strategy, execution, progress updates
- Ensure customer satisfaction and growth through Industrial Internet Implementations and delivery of business benefits
- Seeks opportunities with business leaders to enhance applications, drive valuation creation through the use of information technology; recommends and drives changes to increase efficiency, minimize rework and improve quality of data access.
- Influences various implementation teams to assess and understand implications for existing applications and processes ensuring process rigor and adherence to program methodology standards across the business
- Work with customers on the Industrial Internet partnership where applicable

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, computer science or Information Technology from an accredited university or college, or a GED/HS Diploma and 5 years experience in project management.
- At Minimum of 8 years experience in SW development lifecycle (design, architecture, development, deployment), HW/SW sales and customer engagement
- Ability to travel 50% of the time in the MENAT region and to the US HQ in Houston, Atlanta or San Ramon, California
- Prior experience working in a matrix environment
- Prior experience doing Lean or Six Sigma Process improvement work
- Experience managing multiple IT/software projects simultaneously from design through deployment

Desired Characteristics
- Ability to develop influential partnerships with all P&L functions in the MENAT region and HQ
- Significant expertise in developing and selling SW/HW solutions, including creating and executing propositions and a track record of success
- Deep understanding of the technology stack to include OS, DB, middleware, application layer, virtualization, cloud & networking technologies
- Strong experience in programming languages (such as Java), SOA and middleware
- Experience in IoT protocols, Industrial machine protocols, end-to-end security technologies, high availability of solutions, scaling/performance tuning
- Knowledgeable in regulatory aspects for various domains such as information security & cloud deployments
- Deep domain experience in Project Management
- Ability to energize diverse stakeholders and facilitate collaboration
- Strong customer mindset
- Strong influence and negotiation skills
- Understanding of GE’s processes and Rhythms
- Passion for driving application performance, compliance, and utility to the customer.
- Experience with communicating with senior leadership and P&L leaders/executives
- In-depth knowledge of Middle East Markets and Customers
- Deep technical insight, emotional intelligence, and leading by example are required to be effective in this role
- Experience in Agile methodologies and tools
- Prior experience with Industrial Internet and Data Analytics tools and software
- Strong experience in programming languages (such as C++ or Java), SOA and middleware
- Fluent in English and Arabic (french is a +).
