MEP Draughtsman

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Draughtsman to join our interior design and build team in Dubai. The MEP Draughtsman will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for the installation and maintenance of MEP systems in our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MEP systems and the ability to translate technical specifications into precise and accurate drawings.

Responsibilities:
- Create detailed drawings and plans for MEP systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
- Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to ensure that MEP drawings meet project requirements and specifications.
- Review and interpret technical specifications, sketches, and layouts to create accurate and detailed MEP drawings.
- Ensure that MEP drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulation.
- Must be well-versed with DEWA & ADDC standards.
- Must be well-versed with DM, DCD and other authorities' rules and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of material take-offs, schedules, and cost estimates for MEP systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to address any design or installation issues that may arise during the construction phase.

Salary:
AED 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Proven experience minimum 5 years as an MEP Draughtsman or similar role in the interior design and build industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction practices.
- Knowledge of local and international building codes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating MEP drawings.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or certification in MEP drafting or a related field is preferred.
