Job description / Role
- To ensure that the administration of contracts by projects is carried out in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- To monitor the performance of awarded subcontracts, checking and agreeing the accuracy of monthly payment applications during the life of the subcontract and at completion of the work.
- To formulate change orders to existing subcontracts for change in scope and / or pricing.
- To assist in the review and settlement of any claims as may be raised by subcontractors.
- To assist in the preparation of change orders to the prime contract between company and client. Skills
- Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration and close-out relating to a multi-discipline construction project.
- Knowledgeable of current industry and technical developments.
- Formal qualifications / affiliations to RICS, IQS, MICES or MCIOB.
- Strong working knowledge of administering FIDIC or ICE and other similar contract formulation standards.
- Preparation of bills of quantity (MEP and buildings) and working on multiple hospitality and high rise projects
- Expertise and full knowledge of all MEP cost forecasts and budget analysis on a number of large sale, projects based in the UAE or any other GCC countries.
- Working on finance, contracts, analysis and budgeting according to scope of works.
- Dealing with any discrepancies in schedule and negotiations
- Working with FIDIC form of contractors
- Execute numerous projects and conducting MEP quantity surveys to ensure that all is working in the most cost effective manner.
- Identify scope for improved profitability within all aspects of MEP works
- Ensure completion of project within time and cost parameters
- Working within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Minimum 05 years of experience in quantity survey functions for contracting industry operations in any GCC Countries preferably in the UAE.
- Proven track record with recognized international standard contracting companies.
- Good communication skills and strong English capability.
- Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
- Computer literate especially with Microsoft Word and Excel. Education
- Degree/Diploma in MEP or Quantity Surveying or any relates courses
