Job description / Role
Key functions:
- Develop maintenance operational plans for the maintenance department and oversee their implementation.
- Oversee day to day operations of the maintenance department
- Identify new business opportunities related to maintenance to meet the group’s competitive objectives within the marketplace.
Duties and responsibilities
Manage maintenance and repairs to company units:
- Conduct inspections of company units for needed services and repairs
- Coordinate emergency and regular repairs and coordinate repairs to buildings
- Maintain fire protection systems and equipment
- Supervise landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs to structural, mechanical and electrical systems
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of boilers, heating and ventilation systems,
- pumps weather stripping
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of building interiors and exteriors
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of finishing, ceilings, flooring and roofing
Supervise maintenance staff:
- Evaluate, train and develop staff such as maintenance assistants, electricians, plumbers and painters.
- Assign tasks and ensure schedules are maintained
- Supervise staff and delegate responsibilities
Maintain the general administration of the maintenance department:
- Responsible for the overall operations of the maintenance department
- Develop maintenance operational plans and generally overseeing their implementation towards achieving the group’s strategy, growth and profit objectives.
- Provide timely and structured reports to the owner relating to all maintenance operations.
- Prepare maintenance operating budgets in accordance with company objectives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate needs to possess an Engineering degree with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of extensive experience in a similar role. He must hold a valid UAE driving license. He must be a capable Profit Center Head with strong villa and building maintenance background.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, team player, manual dexterity, leadership qualities and physical stamina.
