Merchandise Planner - GUESS - DFC - Dubai

We are currently sourcing for an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our Merchandising team responsible to maximize sales by ensuring correct seasonal planning through efficient planning and reporting mechanisms are in place across the business, and ensures stores are fully aligned to their range plan and annual OTB spend.

Reporting to the Buying & Merchandising Manager, the job holder would focus on the following areas:
- Develop understanding of key performance indicators relating to sales, stock and margin against budget and previous year.
- Support the Senior Planner on the accuracy of data for preparing and maintaining planning tools and OTB files.
- Assist the Senior Planner in seasonal planning by line by recapping and analysing past performance.
- Collate stock details for promotions planning across regions and maintain database.
- Maintain and update all weekly and monthly sale and stock reports and analyse with the Merchandise team.
- Generate price and profit reports on a monthly basis to ensure that all stores are achieving their budgeted margin.
- Maintain clear pricing structure and markdown strategy to maximise sell through rate and product margin.
- Regularly review the fulfillment plan by product group to ensure options, ratios and depth of stock are in place and in line with the space and option planning. Take corrective action to manage any shortfall or excess or changes by coordinating with Allocators and store teams.
- Review new store layouts in order to take corrective action for any extra allocation or reduction of selling space. Conduct spot check on size ratios and minimum BTF requirement.
- Generate and review a range analysis report at the end of each season to share successes and learn from any mistakes. This information will be collated and used for the next phase and season planning.
- Through consistent and frequent liaison build a rapport with store teams to ensure a solid line of communication.
- Plan and execute regular meetings with merchandisers to discuss and highlight any areas of concern and assist in assortment planning.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must be a Diploma holder and above with at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role within Retail environment. You must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word & Powerpoint).
