Job description / Role
A growing luxury retailer is looking to hire an experienced Head of Merchandise Planning who will join their team based in the Middle East. Currently their operation is similar to a department store retailer with categories such as food, high end fashion, toys, electrical and homewares.
As the Head of Merchandise Planning, you will:- Set up an entirely new function (and free up the company's team of retail buyers)- Implement all the planning processes for sales, inventory, markdown, margin, and inventory turns.- Analyse and forecast current and future trends. - Support to the different departments in the decision with the statistical information of sale.As this is a new position it is envisaged you will hiring a team over the first 12 months.
Requirements
To be considered you will need:- MBA or degree- 10 years + experience in the retail industry.- Strong analytical skills and understanding of statistical process control.- An effective communication skill in English language is a must.- Flexible, independent, team player, and self-motivated.
