Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to the Make Up For Ever General Manager of the Middle East, the Merchandising Department Manager is responsible for the overall store presentation, as well as the design and creation of all windows, animation, retail and in store concepts, ensuring high quality visual merchandising standards throughout, based on Make Up For Ever Head Quarter Creative and equity guidelines.

Requirements

MISSIONS
- Set the VM department direction in line with the regional strategy and communicate to the team
- Cross relational role with other functions and HQ
- The Merchandising Department Manager is responsible for the management, training and development of the local VM team

Support and help the sales team through the opening of new Boutiques and Point of Sales by piloting the hard and soft merch activities with the support of the local visual merchandising team and the HQ merch team of Make Up For Ever:
- Plans, installation
- Follow up with suppliers, purchasing, and renovation works
- Share the Middle East region experience and concerns to the Central HQ teams through ideas, initiatives and best practices
- Guide, develop and manage the Product Presentation, Display Design and Display Decoration
- Manage the Merchandising budget
- Initiate, design and implement digitization action plans at the point of sales
- Approve all suppliers and develop strong working relationships and portfolio
- Manage and coach the team to create a full report on concept designs (pictures and comments) to be provided once the event is achieved

COMPETENCIES
- Project management: ownership, stakeholders, resources, team, budget, timing
- Creative, result and solution oriented, problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent english (daily language), arabic is a must
- Software: Autocad, 3D, Indesign, Illustrator

PROFILE
- Architecture, Interior design or Merchandising degree
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in store design and visual merchandising
- Previous management experience
- Project management certification is preferable
