Mobile App Developer

Job description / Role

- Develop mobile applications on both ANDROID and IOS platforms targeting Security and Automation fields.
- Translate design specification into functional applications
- Liaise with Graphical designer to integrate media assets
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate problems
- Develop Hardware drivers and interfaces to software applications
- Reverse engineering of closed software/devices and integrating them into an open platform

Requirements

Nature and length of previous experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Unity, including experience with scripting, textures, animation, GUI styles, and user session management (+5 years)
- Experience with UI Design and Implementation (+3 years)
- Experience optimizing memory and space usage for support of older hardware (+3 years)
- Experience with App Deployment on both Android and IOS platforms (+3 years)
- Prior experience with a well-known mobile title or AAA titles is a significant asset
- Ability to constantly learn and stay in touch with development technologies
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with current design and architectural patterns
- Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
- Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Software Development tools include but not limited to: Visual Studio, Unity Editor (2018+)

Specialist knowledge:
- Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools {such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}
- knowledge of Xamarin
- Experience with 3D
