Mobile Quality Assurance (MQA) Manager

Job description / Role

The successful applicant is responsible for managing a team responsible that oversee the quality assurance and field test for Samsung mobiles.

Key Objectives:
Insuring and improving the quality of Samsung phones before launching them in Middle East and Africa market within deadlines.

The candidate will be responsible for managing below activities:
- Conducting full field tests for Samsung mobile products for MEA region.
- Performing software testing including inter-operability and compatibility
- Performing full hardware testing and verification including driving tests, voice quality, data throughput, current consumption, RF performance and protocol configuration
- Guarantying and verifying local market requirements including language integrity, local operators prerequisites and local government regulations.
- Providing preliminary technical analysis and guideline for detected field issues along detailed description for test environment and scenario.
- Testing new emerging telecommunications network technologies (such as LTE, VoLTE) and verifying compatibility and inter-operability of Samsung products with MEA telecom operators.
- Optimizing and updating the field test process and test cases to enhance work efficiency.
- Managing and supporting field testers across MEA region

Requirements

- 5~7 years of experience in managing team (preferably relevant to mobile industry and quality assurance)
- Technical background, preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (majored in Electronics and Communications Engineering is preferred)
- Technology skills around mobile handsets
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Possess a basic understanding of Android OS and other mobile platforms
- High self motivation and ability to work alone, managing own work and setting sensible priorities according to perceived requirements
- Good at planning and able to meet the testing schedules
- Good PC skills and the confident use of applications such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Approachable, flexible, team orientated and self assertive where required
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Must be a team player and willing to adapt to change
