The Job Opportunity

The purpose of this position is to assist the Civil & Track Section Managers in providing effective technical support to the line maintenance team responsible for all aspects of civil and track related engineering and maintenance works within the premises of Dubai Metro.

Key accountabilities

- Assist the Civil & Track Section Managers in preparing the maintenance budgeting, in managing and allocating resources to all aspect of technical support activities within the civil and track section;
- Assist the Civil & Track Section Managers in overseeing all aspects of technical support activities pertaining to civil and track section including engineering and maintenance work management, preparations of maintenance procedures and work instructions, coordination work of engineering and maintenance works planning, possession scheduling and timetable;
- Assist the Section Works Planner to plan preventive & corrective maintenance activities through the MMS and monitor progress/accomplishments;
- Assist the Civil & Track Section Managers in monitoring compliance of the Section based on the Competence Management System;
- Assist in preparation of design drawings and budgetary estimates for civil assets improvement;
- Assist the Civil & Track Section Managers to conduct inspections to assess assets conditions;

Specific requirements

- Ability to prepare engineering data analysis, reporting, cost estimation, maintenance and testing procedures, equipment specifications, method statements, risk assessments and drawings (CAD) is preferable;
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;
- Strong organisational skills, detail oriented and the ability to handle multiple priorities;
- Possess strong PC skills including proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point applications and ability to learn new software based applications
- Ideally a degree or higher diploma of post-secondary education in civil engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in the maintenance of civil and track related works such as landscaping, building structures, tracks and power supply rail is preferable;
