Job description / Role
National Cadet Pilot Programme
Become one of the best trained pilots in the world and fly the flag of the nation to over 140 destinations.
We're looking for young and ambitious Emiratis with the passion and commitment to join our National Cadet Pilot Programme and train to become world-class pilots at the Emirates Flight Training Academy in Dubai.
What we provide
Our fully sponsored programme covers the cost of your training for at least four years, including training materials, accommodation, uniforms and three daily meals.
Joining our programme will take you from zero flying hours through to ground school and the skies in a multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft. After graduation, you'll be qualified to take command of one of the newest and most modern fleets in the sky with Emirates, the world's largest international airline.

Programme details
The National Cadet Programme is divided into the following phases:
Ab-initio Pilot
Phase 1 - Ground School
EMIRATES FLIGHT TRAINING ACADEMY
- You will study using state-of-the-art technology and VR.
- ATPL theoretical knowledge.
- Duration: Approximately 12 months.
- Pay and benefits: Stipend of AED 6,000 per month, concessional staff travel tickets, medical insurance, meals and accommodation.
Phase 2 - Flight Training
EMIRATES FLIGHT TRAINING ACADEMY
- This phase will provide you with approximately 274 hours of flight and simulator experience on the SR 22 Cirrus single engine aircraft, the Diamond DA42 twin engine aircraft and the Phenom-100 Jet aircraft. At the end of the course you will have a Commercial Pilot Licence (Frozen ATPL) with a Multi-Instrument Rating (CPL/Multi IR) a Multi Crew Cooperation Course (MCC), and Jet Orientation Course Certificate.
- Duration: Approximately 12 months.
- Pay and benefits: Stipend of AED 6,000 per month, concessional staff travel tickets, medical insurance, meals and accommodation.
Cadet Pilot
Phase 3
EMIRATES TRAINING COLLEGE
- Conversion, Type Rating and Line Training on one of the Emirates widebody aircraft. In this phase you will go through a type rating course followed by line training.
- Duration: Approximately 3 months.
- Pay and benefits: Stipend of AED 17,300 per month, concessional staff travel tickets, medical insurance & meals.
Phase 4
EMIRATES GROUP HEADQUARTERS / DUBAI AIRPORT
- In this phase, you'll complete the course, receive a Type Rating on one of the Emirates wide body aircraft you have been trained on and a Frozen Air Transport Pilot Licence (Frozen ATPL) approved by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.
- Duration: Approximately 8 months.
- Pay and benefits: Stipend of AED 29,665 per month, concessional staff travel tickets & medical insurance.
First Officer
Phase 5
EMIRATES GROUP HEADQUARTERS / DUBAI AIRPORT
- As a line pilot you'll be flying one of the youngest and most modern fleet of aircraft in the skies with the world's largest international airline, Emirates.
- Pay and benefits: AED 49,870 per month. (Basic pay and fixed allowances) concessional staff travel tickets & medical insurance.

Requirements
Here's what we're looking for in our candidates:
- Fall within the age range of 17 to 26.
- Have successfully completed Grade 12 with a minimum score of 80% or hold a GPA of 3 or higher from a recognized University/College
- Obtain (post-assessment) TOEFL PBT score of 510 /IBT 6.5 or an IELTS score of 6 , must achieve 5.5 or higher in each element (Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking).
- Have completed the National Service before joining the program.
*You can start the selection process after completing high school.
- Have a minimum height of 160cm.
- Be medically fit with a healthy BMI of 29 or less.
- Hold a valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid.
