Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The National Sales and Retail Manager is responsible primarily for driving Retail sales in the market, through all channels. This role involves the indirect management and the development of the field teams and the elaboration and execution of Retail strategy in collaboration with our Retail Partner. It also involves developing strong working relationships with retail partners and clients (if applicable), AT&D and all the departments.

Key Performance Areas & Description

Retail
- Achieve retail sales objectives

Develop the business by increasing sales while maintaining the quality of the M.A.C customer service at its best:
- Sustain like doors growth
- Increase productivity of the teams
- Successfully open new doors
- Elaborate and implements the Retail strategy in coordination with the BM and the other Departments
- Ensure the quality of execution at Retail: quality of customer service, quality of operations
- Work at store level to identify business needs and create strategies to drive the business (collection launches, store events, challenges, merchandising)
- Provide detailed analysis and information to Brand Manager to support business decisions and planning
- Provide timely analysis and reports outlining market performance, challenges and opportunities

Management
- Build Collaborate Relationship with Retail partner’s Operations & ATD Team, think solutions and new ways of implementing MAC DNA.
- Align Operations plans, targets, objectives and KPI’s with Senior Operations Manager from Retail partner
- Spend from 2 to 3 days per week on the field with MROs and RMs OK
- Implement new processes to improve performance of the team (simplify, clarify) OK
- Manage your own cost center in line with target
- Collaborate with other department managers. In particular develop a close working relationship with the National Training Manager
- Work closely with retail partner to identify talent and build development plans for Area and Operations Managers.

Operations
- Monitor inventory levels by markets and door and feedback information to marketing and demand planning.
- Participate in monthly business review meetings and share feedback with MAC team
- Retail Partners
- Protect brand Equity guiding partner in business decisions
- Control of the correct and timely execution of sales orders
- Maintain a close relationship with the partner’s management at door level
- Agree on personnel movements
- Negotiate events or merchandizing opportunities etc…

Regional
- Participate in Regional meetings
- Provide timely communication and reports to Regional Retail Operations Director and Brand Manager

Other
- Performs other duties as directed in line with role and brand strategy.
- Reflect ELC and brands grooming guidelines at all times.

Requirements

- University background preferred
- Management and leadership experience in a Retail environment essential
- Experience from Free Standing Stores an advantage
- Experience in executing through a retailer or distributor an advantage
