Network Analyst

Job description / Role

ALT Technology, located in Dubai, is looking for a Network Analyst. Candidates are expected to be proactive, detail oriented with exceptional technical and customer service skills.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for providing a variety of technical and support issues including personal computer systems, operating systems, LAN/WAN, printers and application software.

Job Duties
• Expert in Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewall and Wireless Lan Controller
• Respond to employee queries, run diagnostic programs, install hardware and software, isolate problems and determine solutions.
• Respond proactively to phone calls and emails sent to the Help Desk system as the first level of assistance.
• Open and close work orders on each call received.
• Create, modify and delete user accounts per company policy and update appropriate documentation (e.g. account termination spreadsheet).
• Guide end users through troubleshooting procedures to restore technical service and re-image workstations or laptops as needed.
• Helpdesk Support
• Knowledge of Windows XP/7/8/10, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Active Directory, Imaging
• Hardware/software support
• Break/fix
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks/assignments at the same time while maintaining a high level of professional service to the customer
• Provide appropriate documentation
• Other IT duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; willingness to deal directly with customer via the telephone 80-90% of
the time.
• High level of patience, empathy, and courtesy.
• Ability to resolve mechanical/technical problems over the phone with emphasis on troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to recognize and communicate problem trends, and work with others to define corrective action on a broad scale.
• Excellent team orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Associates degree in information technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. MCP and/or A+ Certificate a plus.
• Must have at least 2 years of related industry experience with a broad range of PC, network, mainframe midrange systems and applications. Extensive technical knowledge of personal computers, networks and experience with usage, installation, repair and configuration including but not limited to Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OSX 8, 9, 10, 11; Mobile Devices (Android, iOS and Blackberry OS),Computer Hardware (internal components and peripherals); Multifunctional Printers, Intermediate Networking (Local Area Network including subsystems)
• Experience using Helpdesk support and ticketing software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, customer-service focus and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment required.
• Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Must be willing to travel as needed.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office Suite and other common business applications.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks/assignments at the same time.
