Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Communicates with IATA, Airport Authorities and Civil Aviation to coordinate slots and obtain traffic rights for Air Arabia, mainly for (L2) and (L3) airports.
- Negotiates changes and schedules with airports based on business needs, commercial requirements, and availability.
- Designs/ modifies short-term flight schedules based on available and future delivery of aircrafts; loads schedules for sales on both planning and reservation systems ensuring optimum aircraft utilization (minimum average 14 block hours) per aircraft per day. Obtains approvals on short-term planned schedules and extra flights from (L2) and (L3) Airports and Civil Aviation Authorities in the assigned area as per adopted procedures; coordinates with Country Managers on (L1) Airports approvals as necessary. Handles schedule changes resulting from different causes such as operational requirements, commercial reasons, airport slots approvals, or/and weather conditions, etc.
- Coordinates with Revenue Management on any cancellations, combining or addition of flights in the assigned area to ensure optimum utilization and securing of passengers.
- Executes re-scheduling of flights and connecting flights, loads to system, and communicates accordingly including those resulting from certain emergencies or last-minute updates. Coordinates and assists dispatch to manage flight schedule disruptions caused due to AOG or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Prepares charter agreements and quotations, plans, loads and executes schedules to accommodate charter and irregular flights based on agreed plan, availability and airport approvals. Follows up on operations to ensure successful delivery.
- Generates Weekly Utilization Reports to highlight the average flying hours per aircraft in the assigned region/hub/area. Employs the outcome of reports to support commercial objectives that serve maximizing revenue and profitability.
- Creates and regularly updates the timetable for all Air Arabia hubs. Communicates with INNOVATA (IATA Partner) and (OAG) on regular basis to include/update Air Arabia schedules and new routes in the SSIM (Standard Schedules Information Manual) ensuring records are included and changes are updated in due time to be recognized worldwide.
- Maintains an up-to-date database of airports/airlines codes based on IATA manual for coding; communicates the data to concerned people as necessary. Maintains and file ASA agreements and create an updated traffic right status sheet to be retrieved whenever needed.
- Initiates/publishes the buses codes and schedules through adopted channels. Maintains an accurate and up-to-date database and documents control of all function-related contacts, agreements, schedules, documents, certificates, etc.; Ensures a record of all flights is updated and maintained to include all regular, irregular, charter, cancelled, additional flights, etc.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Industrial, Planning, Computer), Business Management, Commerce or equivalent from a recognized university.
- IATA Certified in Network Fleet and Schedule Planning is a plus.
- Capable of using technology systems and tools; proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel Skills), Internet and Web Search.
- Fluent in English Language, Arabic is a plus.
- 3+ years of related working experience in a similar role in the aviation industry
