Global Access Recruitment is looking to appoint a Nurse Manager (Staff Nurse) for a leading private Healthcare Group in Sharjah & Dubai who are currently expanding and will be launching new hospitals across the UAE.

Responsibilities:
- Organizes and directs the work of Nursing Units and programs; coordinates staff to assure that effective nursing services are provided, and quality standards are met.
- Staffing consists of Registered Nurses and Assistant Nurses and other healthcare providers as needed. A multidisciplinary team approach to care is utilized.
- Supervises and participates in the provision of general nursing care.
- Supervises admissions, conducts assessment of patients needs, and initiates nursing care plans.
- Develop and maintain an environment that supports the professional nurse and staff and implementation of relevant quality management and certification systems.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates nursing programs, nursing care plans, and objectives for the work area.
- Design job descriptions that clearly define the role and responsibilities of all positions under his/her supervision.
- Understand and accept accountability for the delivery and quality of service provided to patients.
- Review and monitor staffing requirements according to the needs of the service ensuring that the level of clinical skills available is taken into account when assigning workload.
- Direct the delivery of patient care through thoughtful delegation and empowerment of Charge Nurses/Senior Nurses ensuring that care is assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated according to an acceptable agreed standard
- Ensure the competence of staff is monitored through the implementation of regular performance review and agreed goals achieved through facilitation and mentor-ship.
- Develop and demonstrate a style of management that is open, positive, fair, consultative and non-judgmental fostering a climate more conducive to learning, where staff feels valued and fear and intimidation are eliminated.
- Through example, encourage greater understanding, harmony and collaborative working within the multidisciplinary teams in the interest of better care of patients.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
- Develop effective channels of communication for the dissemination of information and eliciting of staff views and opinions while being mindful of the need for simplicity and avoidance of unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Plan and participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff, ensure that their appropriate orientation has been provided to the new staff.
- Practice and promote strict compliance with all agreed HR policies and procedures, especially in the area of leave scheduling/sickness monitoring.
- Promote and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients where equipment is adequate regularly maintained and staff are aware of hazards and take action to minimize risk.
- Undertake the management of risk issues by promptly investigating and following through on all untoward incidents, where necessary makes recommendations and implement preventive measures.
- Assesses needs for personnel, supplies, equipment, and physical facilities for budget planning.
- Participates in clinical conferences, workshops, seminars, and related forums.

Requirements

The staff nurse will be managing the day to day duties and administrative functions of a Nursing department. Provides professional, efficient leadership, and clinical expertise to all staff in Nursing Department. Plans and implements a strategic framework for the continuity development of nursing and its practice to meet the anticipated requirements, and ensure the provision of the best quality patient care within the available resources.

- B.Sc/M.sc Nursing.
- Must have MOH or DHA or HAAD license
- Overall 5 to 10 years experience in nursing, with minimum 2 years of experience as Nursing manager/ Staff nurse.
