Charterhouse is working with a Global Organisation within Maritime to assist with the recruitment of an Office Manager. This position will support the Middle East business from their Dubai office, as well as manage the full employee lifecycle.

The Office Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations and smooth running of the office as well as overseeing the Administration Assistant, coordinating events, handling facilities and supplies management and social media marketing.

In addition, this role will take on some HR responsibilities such as budgeting, developing company policies and procedures, prepare job descriptions and assisting with annual performance appraisals.

Reporting to the Group HR Manager, this role will also handle the full employment lifecycle of employees, the recruitment process, onboarding new joiners, mobility, arranging visa applications and preparing employment contracts. The Office Manager will be the point of contact to all employees in the Dubai Office, responsible for employee relations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with excellent knowledge of the UAE labour law and a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the Middle East. Experience as an Office Manager with exposure in HR, preferably within a similar sector will be beneficial for. Ideal candidates will have experience coordinating with HR.

Our client is looking for a professional with personable approach, attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. Handling diverse and confidential situations with confidence whilst multi-tasking under demanding deadline is key to succeed in this role. Due to extensive correspondence with the overseas offices, candidates must have strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
