Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Conduct end of day operations (EOD and BOD) and NOC activities within the data centre in assigned capacity as per 24x7 three shift requirements (evening/morning/ night shifts) in order to support business functions.
• Provide first level support for all the systems, applications and network equipment including network patching of servers and systems monitored 24x7 (evening/morning/ night shift) within the NOC to ensure issues are addressed and escalated in a timely manner
• Escalate issues to Team Leader and keep up to date information about the progress of problem resolution to ensure issues are addressed, escalated and resolved on time
• Support the implementation of changes and new releases across the systems and databases; action access to the privileged systems as per requests received from IT users and control equipment to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to
• Oversee movement of equipment in and out of Data Centre to ensure the change and access control process is followed consistently
• Conducts the Backup/archiving and restore/retrieval of data as scheduled and planned or on an ad hoc basis as requested by users.
• Implement changes and new releases across the systems and databases as instructed in the release sheet
• Request, review and enable/approve access to the privileged systems through Cyber-ark and eGP
• Manage Server Movement in and out of Data Centres
• Manage server patching to the network switch
• Maintains the security of the data centre ensuring systems provide protection against perceived risks including UPS, Air Conditioning, fire fighting, physical security against unauthorized personnel.
• Resolves user problems quickly and efficiently to established service levels. Provides technology based information, such as data centre performance dashboards, service levels and issue resolution to the business
• Performs first level analysis of data centre related issues and incidents Ensures service provision standards are met
• Deliver to a standard of fast resolution of problems, demonstrated by a service-orientated mindset throughout the team.Support communication of datacenter activity status and business impact, as required and directed by Senior Manager, Data Centre
• Maintain a current knowledge of technology trends and emerging, technologies and techniques which may be of benefit to the Group.
• Develop UAE Nationals as directed by senior management
• Undertake similar or related tasks or duties as directed by senior management

Requirements

Minimum Education Level:
A university degree in a technical subject such as Management Information Systems is essential.

Professional Qualification:
ITIL or a similar qualification associated with IT service in the corporate environment a plus.
