Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Effectively manage day-to-day transactions at Trade Operations and meet/exceed internal and external customer expectations. Stay focused in achieving assigned targets and complies with procedures and guidelines in line with Banks overall vision.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Quantifiable
- TAT for transaction processing
- Customer complaints resolution
- Internal customer satisfaction survey results

Non-Quantifiable
- Telephone Calls
- Faxing/E-mailing advices to Customers.

Key results
- Ensure good to superior feedback in internal customer satisfaction surveys
- Ensure that there are no commission leakages, supervisory lapses and stay focused on achieving low risk audit reports
- Ensure to undertaking the role of relationship building (Internal / external).
- Audit & Compliance
- Due diligence in "Anti Money Laundering"

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Timely report to work and maintain work ethics.
- Ensure that transaction processing is handled within agreed TAT and technically workable as per UCP 600, URDG 458, URR 725, URC 522 and other ICC Publications as applicable.
- Keep updated on all products; be well skilled and aware of all changes and amendments on product features, procedures and processes.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships/connections internally and externally.
- Signatures to be verified on all customer requests and authorised to initial on the signature verification stamp .Upon completion of the transaction ensure proper filing is done.
- Continuously monitor & assess the efficiency of workflow in regards to internal/external customer expectation, information exchange and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and reporting.
- Authorise AED payments through central bank system.
- Checking balancing of Suspense accounts / Online accounts at end of each month by matching system GL.
- Record items of exception nature and follow up until it is closed.
- Comply with Credit Policy and Anti Money Laundering Policy and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure to reverse expired LCs / LGs and follow up unpaid items of LC and collections as per policy/procedure.
- Ensure that irregular transactions or transactions that are not within the Bank's approved policy are reported in the Risk Indicator.
- Periodic follow up for pending documents / transactions.
- Follow up on charges pending from customers / counterparty banks.
- Physical verification of transaction files on half-yearly basis .
- Imbibe compliance awareness at all times.
- Ensure that Banks policies, procedures and guidelines are consistently & strictly followed.
- Review and take action on points and recommendations highlighted in Audit reports and Error Logs.
- Ensure all security item registers, if any, are properly maintained, balanced, updated and in order.

Requirements

- Bachelors degree - preferably Banking or Financial related
- Conversant with UCP 600, Incoterms, ISBP, URC 522, URR 725, URDG 458 and preferably CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) degree holder.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills.
- Analytical ability & problem resolution skills.
- 3-4 years of combined experience within the banking industry and Trade Finance.
- Bilingual - Arabic/English would be an advantage.
