Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: Work with the Regional Business COO to oversee the implementation of the SCB Operational Risk Framework (ORF) in MENA across FM, TB, CF, CC and Retail (including support functions), ensuring global alignment and best practices are adhered to.

Responsibilities

Assist the Regional Business COO in delivering the ORF rollout in MENA, including:
* Project Management:
* Drive the process reviews that need to performed, ensuring that complete, honest and accurate information is provided
* Track and report progress, ensure key dates are met and escalate risks, blockages, challenges or trends into Regional COO
* Minute meetings including actions/ owners and ensure they are followed up
* Provide process expertise:
* Train users on how to perform process reviews according to best practice, ensure consistence across the business lines
* Challenge the information being provided and ensure appropriate due diligence is followed
* Ensure feedback to the global process is of the required standard
* Develop an extensive network of stakeholders in the business and operations through planned / regular face to face discussions
* Coordinate with stakeholders across business silos ensuring that cross functional processes are properly reviewed and documented, and process variations and local nuances are clearly articulated, so that they may be logged at a group level to assess the risk of the European business

Requirements

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills -oral, written and presentation
* Numerate with strong spreadsheet and analytical skills
* A self starter who is curious and willing to learn
* Project management skills would be an advantage, with attention to detail and diligence in execution
* Confidence to interact with senior managers, but still willing to get stuck into the detail
