Operations & Maintenance Manager

Job description / Role

Operations and Maintenance Manage required to join our international power client based in Abu Dhabi. Very competitive salary package + family status.

The O&M Manager will be responsible for providing the necessary support to all the participated assets in Middle East and North Africa in the O&M related activities under the guidance of the Director of O&M MENA, identifying best practices and ensuring continuous improvement in the O&M activities, developing Maintenance practices and leading and participating in the required initiatives for projects in commercial and under mobilization with the aim of ensuring optimum returns from the plants.

The O&M Manager will be at any time ready to step in, with mutual agreement, in any asset and take the role as Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager or Plant Manager for short, medium or long term.

Requirements

* Mechanical- or Electrical or other Technical engineering background.
* Must have engineering degree, BSc and/or MSc.
* Some 10-15 years' power plant experience in an operational- or maintenance management function.
* Combined cycle power plant experience or coal fired power plant experience, rotating equipment experience, HRSG, desalination plant experience is a plus.
* Hands on mentality, field experience
* Willingness to travel frequently, relative short business trips, Middle East Region
* Flexible attitude.
* Able to deal with different cultures.
* Good communicating & reporting skills, management director level as well as supervisory level.
* Strong HSEQ awareness.
* Fluent in English.
* Potential to grow to Asset Manager function.

Strong plus:
* Coal experience, renewables.
* Negotiating skills, capacity to convince others.
* Mobilization experience of green/brown field power plant projects.
* Business Administration skills, additional training.
* HSE auditing experience, peer reviews.
* Operational Excellence improvement implementation process, experience.
