The Operations Planning Senior Officer is responsible for producing a plan that is operationally viable, as well as recoverable and amendable. The Operations Planning Senior Officer enables collaboration between Commercial objectives and Operational requirements.

In order to manage the Operating Plan and Network efficiently, maintain schedule integrity, and therefore OTP, the Operations Planning Senior Officer will liaise with a variety of stakeholders throughout flydubai in order to reach balanced operational decisions and ensure changes are initiated effectively and communicated to relevant parties in a timely manner.

The Operations Planning Senior officer will ensure flights are assigned correctly based on specified requirements (FIFO, performance, crew, permits, turnarounds, maintenance etc.) thus creating a robust, efficient flying programme.

Key Activities
- Ensure flight schedules are loaded in AIMS as per published date ranges and timelines, to include both SSIM and subsequent SSM's.
- Ensure AIMS reflects balanced aircraft assignment and utilisation for day of operation +7 days.
- Identify and design optimisation processes for tail assignment including, but not limited to, base and line maintenance planning and crew planning.
- Assist Crew Planning with information on the operational impact of crew routes, including advice on crew pairings and optimisation, crew utilisation, and therefore operational efficiency by analysing the flights in the Ops Planning period before roster bidding begins.
- Liaise closely with Network Planning, both with regards to the published flying programme and adhoc flights, and in turn ensure any adhoc briefs are completed and available to NCC at least 48 hours before departure. Provide data to Network Planning with regards to operational planning such as delay trends, slot usage etc.
- Assist Crew Planning and Training with planning base training sectors in conjunction with Network Planning.
- Analyse planned seasonal flight schedules and provide feedback, positive or negative, as to the operational viability and deliverability. Make recommendations to Network Planning for optimisation improvements.
- Identify opportunities and solutions for operational system integration and support IT testing and implementation.
- Ensure the airport databases in AIMS are up to date with restrictions such as curfews, equipment, alternates etc. by working with the Airport Services team and Navigation Services.
- Co-ordinate on behalf of NCC when a new station is launched. Complete New Station Checklist in a timely manner.
- Co-ordinate all new aircraft delivery flights and produce delivery briefs and checklists for NCC.
- Assist SMOC and SVP NCC with any other planning related subjects or projects, for example aircraft leasing.
- Support NCC during operational disruption by co-ordinating with Network Planning to ensure the Subcharter Working Group is activated and procedures implemented.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- University Degree or equivalent

Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' in airline operations

Knowledge / Skills
- Good knowledge of CAP371
- Strong knowledge of aircraft performance and abilities
- IT Skills
- High levels of attention to detail
