Position Overview: We are excited to welcome a dynamic and enthusiastic Food and Beverage, Kitchen, and Front Office Intern to join our team at Hyatt Place Dubai Hotels. This internship program offers you the chance to immerse yourself in the hospitality industry, gain valuable hands-on experience, and receive mentorship from our experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food and Beverage (F&B):
- Assist in the setup and preparation of F&B service areas.
- Gain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Support the F&B team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
- Learn about food safety and hygiene standards in a hotel environment.
- Participate in F&B events and promotions.
2. Kitchen:
- Work alongside our culinary team to prepare dishes and learn culinary techniques.
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation.
- Gain an understanding of kitchen organization and cleanliness standards.
- Participate in menu planning and recipe development under the guidance of our chefs.
3. Front Office:
- Shadow the Front Office team to understand guest check-in and check-out procedures.
- Learn about reservations management and room assignment processes.
- Assist in addressing guest inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
- Gain insight into revenue management and occupancy optimization.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a hospitality, culinary, or related program at a recognized institution.
- Strong passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to pursue a career in Food and Beverage, Kitchen, or Front Office management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
About the Company
Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade, Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working together with other Pritzker family business interests, grew the company into a North American management and hotel ownership company, which became a public company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was formed and subsequently became a separate public company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
