Packaging Development Technologist

Job description / Role

- Prepare and organize benchmarking sessions (BIC) with competitor PKG samples.
- Arrange and manage the records of PKG raw materials from warehouse/suppliers to the R&D lab
- Prepare PKG prototypes as per brief in the PKG development lab.
- Support & coordinate packaging line trials within manufacturing/Co-manufacturing/Co-packing facilities to ensure performance validation of packaging structure and/or packaging design
- Support & coordinate transit tests with supply chain to ensure the packaging protects the product throughout the entire distribution channel
- Gather information on existing materials used, review customer complaints to establish opportunities/priorities for PKG continuous improvement programme

Requirements

The Packaging Development Technologist is a key supporting role in the R&D team to ensure the execution og the short and medium term innovation pipeline in collaboration with marketing & the cross-functional project team across all product categories.

- Bachelor Degree/Masters Degree or Diploma/Post diploma in packaging technology.
- 3 to 4 years' experience in packaging development and continuous improvement in the Food & Beverages industry.
