Job description / Role
The successful candidate will provide essential support to our attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case preparation and management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, including organizing and analyzing evidence
• Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
• Maintain and update case files and databases
• Prepare and file legal documents with courts and administrative agencies
• Provide administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and answering phones
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the legal team
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or a related field
• Paralegal certification preferred
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
• Proficiency in legal research methods and resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications
• Previous experience working in a legal environment is preferred but not required
