Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A Paralegal’s job purpose is to perform substantive legal work that requires knowledge of the law and procedures, and assisting the lawyers in preparing legal arguments and legal support.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist associates of all levels on research of laws and judgments
- Perform legal research, checking facts, gathering client information and evidence and completing paperwork
- Assist associates with drafting minor changes to standardized documents and advice, as well as proof reading
- Assist to prepare standard legal documents for matters as and when requested
- Organize department database of standard laws, judgments, regulations and precedents system as well as provide the associates with an update
- To assist the Head of Department/Partner in monitoring and coordinating work between associates by preparing client consolidation reports
- Responsible to liaise and finalize with marketing on new laws and regulation articles to be published in company magazine.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Previous experience must be from a legal firm or legal department
- Working knowledge of research techniques
- A law degree or similar paralegal qualification
- Excellent command of English/ Bilingual
