Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client are a blue-chip american technology company based in central Dubai. They are looking for an experienced paralegal to join their in-house team.

The role will have plenty of room to diversify and progress yourself but the basic duties will be
- Report to directly to the regional Legal Director

Support the legal team in regards to:
- Corporate secretarial matters relating to subsidiaries and joint ventures (including: coordinating and attending AGMs and BMs, preparing related documentation, taking meeting minutes and filing documents with authorities as required)
- Drafting and review of standard contracts
- Preparation and coordination of training by legal and related materials
- Standardization of day to day activities of the team (including drafting policies, contract precedents, and template reports, opinions, memos, letters)

Administrative tasks such as:
- Maintaining a “tickler” system prompting the team on significant dates and milestones (including: AGMs, board meetings, hearing dates)
- Tracking payment and recording of external legal spend
- Records retention and filing
- Organization and coordination of the team’s agendas relating to meetings, travel, calls, training and other similar tasks.

Requirements

The successful candidate will either have experience within an in-house team or with a multinational law firm. With a minimum of 5 years local experience.

The company are presently expanding on a large scale so the ability to juggle several different tasks is imperative.

Fluency in Arabic and English as a MUST.
