Parallel Import Coordinator

Job description / Role

This is a niche and important role which requires the candidate to have the utmost confidentiality regarding sensitive information. This role will fight the parallel imports in liaison with the concerned authorities and protect Al Futtaim interests as an authorized dealers for automotive and retail brands. By achieving the below objectives, the employee shall abide by all rules and regulations of the country as well as the company’s policy.

To organize and liaise with all custom authorities including Ministry of Economy and Department of Economic Development in all the emirates to detect the parallel importers and conduct regular raids on them.

To monitor and supervise the selling of any vague spare parts of Al Futtaim brands and make regular visits to all car markets under the instructions and guidance of the line manager.

To conduct regular visits to all car markets and custom points in the entire Emirate in order to investigate any illegal or unauthorized imports.

To arrange weekly/ monthly/yearly reports regarding numbers, places of availability and movement of cars (Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Volvo) which are imported by unauthorized dealer (parallel importer) and their details, and to submit these reports to the line manager.

Requirements

Candidates must have a valid UAE driving licence and a high school certificate. Report writing is a critical part of this role so you should be confident to create highly sensitive reports.

This role requires someone who can work shifts and be flexible with their working hours.
