Job description / Role
We are currently dealing with an international law firm (well known UK firm) who are looking to hire a Finance Assistant to work in their law practice in Abu Dhabi.
This person will report to the Finance manager and assist in the day to day accounting matters for the firm. As they are a law firm and service provider, many of the accounting matters are focussed around the billing cycle. Invoicing clients for billable hours of the lawyers, WIP, and ensuring timely invoice payment. (Credit Control) In addition other duties will include reconciling payments, updating, processing and paying supplier invoices, inter-company reconciliations, and administering the petty cash.
Other ad hoc duties as and when.
Requirements
Candidates should have at least 1-2 years accounting experience.
(Sales ledger/credit control AND/OR purchase ledger, bank reconciliation or accounts to TB)
Fluent English language skills are essential.
Must be professional, well presented and possess excellent communication skills.
Experience of working within a law firm is advantageous but not essential.
