Patient Administrator

Job description / Role

- Clients are welcomed and received according to company procedure.
- Patient demographic data and accurate eligibility details collected and entered into system as per EHL standards
- Registration forms are signed and filed.
- Insurance Card copies kept on patient files/system.
- Patient attendance confirmed by entering data into the system as per EHL standards.
- Patient medical records requested where applicable.
- Financial Consent Form signed by patient/legal guardian Act as source of information about hospital/clinic services, policies and rules
- Patients are pre-admitted as per pre-admission procedure
- Patients are informed of documentation required and relevant financial aspects, for admission
- Deposits collected as per EHL policy Relevant admission documents are obtained, processed and filed as per specifications - Patient needs and condition is considered during admission process
- Patients scheduled according to Doctor availability and as per EHL standards
- Appointments confirmed with patients 24 hours prior to appointment date
- No Shows are contacted and rescheduled where applicable
- Doctors Appointment calendars are created and updated.
- Client expectations are met and quality client service principles are maintained
- Client complaints are documented where applicable
- Client complaints are resolved
- Participation in Quality Improvement projects is demonstrated
- Meetings are utilised as quality improvement opportunities
- Patient information confidentiality is maintained EHL values are demonstrated in behaviour
- Competence is demonstrated in all performance output areas

Requirements

- Minimum Grade 12 Graduate with a Tertiary Diploma or Degree will be an advantage
- Previous experience in Hospitality and Customer Relations
- Computer literacy at intermediate level and a good understanding of MS Office
- Must be fluent in English
