Payroll Officer

Job description / Role

An experienced Payroll Officer with immediate availability is required for our multi award winning client involved in the humanitarian sector. This is an organisation handling highly complex countries in terms of banking, payments and tax . The role therefore requires those with a minimum of 2 years payroll experience and an excellent understanding of tax legislation in different countries.

Based in the Dubai headquarters, you will sit within a finance team of 4 employees and report into the Team Leader on a daily basis. You will possess strong payroll processing skills with a high attention to detail and the knowledge required to manage payroll in different countries, across the African continent in particular.

The incumbent will be responsible for all payroll transactions, calculation of tax deductions and accruals, expenses and benefit payments and reconciliations. Regular payroll reporting on a weekly basis via the use of Sage ERP is also required and those with relevant exposure to this are considered highly advantageous. You will also liaise with all representatives in the relevant countries across the organisation to ensure data is managed efficiently and payments are made on time with minimal disruption. The Payroll Officer will additionally engage directly with all employees to resolve any payroll queries in a timely manner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should possess at least 2 years’ experience within a payroll function, including tax calculations and deductions. You will be degree educated, preferably within finance and have excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and data management skills. Those who are immediately available will be given preference for this urgent vacancy.
