Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this position is responsible for processing and assisting in the coordination and preparation of the payroll in accordance with the UAE Labour Law and Al Noor Hospital’s policies and procedures.

The payroll officer will maintain the employee records and provide effective communications with all staff regarding payroll matters.
- Updating the payroll system based on the actions sheets (PAS) such as salary increments, deduction, change in cost center etc.
- Perform reconciliation on payroll such as single line and head counts e.t.c periodically
- Ensure all the proper documents have been received before processing the payroll
- Ensure that approvals for variables i.e. over time, e-calls, night duty etc. has been received before processing the payment
- Checking and reconciling variables submitted by HR and record and process the variables
- Communicate and coordinate with the HR department and other departments to ensure that all the documents related to payroll has been received
- Record the monthly accrual journals i.e. salary, variables, memos etc.
- Compute and record the monthly expense provision i.e. leave salaries, air tickets, end of service benefits etc.
- Prepare monthly provisions for inactive, resigned and terminated staff
- Prepare and compute the final settlement for the resigned staff
- Adhere to the internal control procedures and policies
- Liaise with the internal and external auditors during audit period and prepare audit schedules
- Participate for periodic finance related training to improve the quality of the work
- Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations
- Provide reports such as variance analyses to the management as per their request and based on the procedure manual
- Review advances, deductions and payments against Al Noor Hospital’s Policy
- Prepare ad hoc reports when requested

Requirements

- Minimum of 4 years advanced experience in SAP Payroll
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Healthcare Industry experience is an advantage
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience of reporting to tight deadlines
