Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose: To deliver and support business performance enhancement projects by managing medium and small initiatives for business units to enable the delivery of Emirates Group corporate objectives. Support the facilitation of change across people; processes and systems to enable development of innovative and implementable recommendations that will further improve performance. Deliver and support cross functional initiatives and continually enhance performance through consultation; collaboration; projects and support activities; including; but not limited to resource planning (e.g. manpower; equipment; fuel; etc.); organisational design; supply chain management; customer engagement; innovation and long term planning. The key requirement of the role will be the ability and agility of the job holder to work in a pool supporting diverse business units and to quickly adapt and understand key business challenges.

Job Outline:
- Business Strategy - Support PD Management in the formulation of strategic plans for business units and develop detailed business performance measures to track productivity of each business unit. Advise PD management in identifying areas for performance improvement and planning related projects for execution.
- Business Improvements Projects - Plan; develop and conduct best practice improvements to systems; processes and structures to enhance operational effectiveness. Deliver agreed performance improvement projects by playing a lead or support role in the development and acceptance of recommendations by the business. Create implementation plans and support the business in the implementation process.
- Adhoc projects - Partner with the business and relevant support departments to deliver improvement projects. Support the PDMs; MPDs and VP-PD in managing relationships with the stakeholders to drive close collaboration and partnership to rapidly resolve issues and concerns and mitigate risks. Conduct post implementation reviews on high priority projects to ensure that the intended benefits to the business are realised.
- Key Performance Indicators- Support the development and monitoring of department KPI?s and ensure alignment to the strategic plan. Advise business units on appropriate productivity norms and standards and agree Key Performance Indicators (KPI) through the application of relevant techniques.
- Long Term Plan - Develop a Long Term Plan within specific business departments with a particular focus on the Manpower Plan. Collaborate and partner with the business; and other relevant business partners (HR; Finance; etc) during budget discussions to jointly deliver and maintain a 3 year rolling plan.
- Best Practice - Stay continuously up-to-date with industry standards/ processes and challenge status quo to enable effective management of growth. Support trials and site visits for benchmarking and development of POC (proof of concepts) as necessary.
- Service Development - Participate actively in the Service Development teams. Document project deliverables; and post on the Performance Development site to enable collaboration; sharing and knowledge and skills transfer across the department.
- Project Portfolio - Support the creation and management of a portfolio of projects and the adoption and application of strong project governance within specific business departments to effectively manage; maintain; monitor and report on their projects.

Requirements

- Human Resources, Performance Management: 5+ Years
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
- Graduate in Industrial Engineering; Operations Research; Mathematics; Consultancy or graduate level education in scientific/ commercial discipline. Working experience in the fields related to processes and productivity improvement in a reputed organisation. Airline or airport services industry experience; and/or in the areas of Performance Development or Consultancy relevant to Airline Industry is preferred. Good understanding of Project Management. Business Knowledge of the units responsible for. Understand the working and critical factors for the unit. People management skills to be able to handle the diverse group of staff and conflict situations in the job. Technical skills Basic knowledge of Innovation techniques; programme management; customer relationship management. Advanced knowledge of process improvement; organisation design; project management; business planning.
