Employment: Full Time

The job holder is accountable for opening and maintenance of customer accounts, preparing proposals related to personal loans, auto loans, OD, Master Card, ensuring the delivery of quality service to customers and recognizing opportunities for cross selling.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer issues/ queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist customers with queries related to cheque books requisitions, pin numbers, debit& credit cards, ATM cards, statements, account balance, as appropriate.
- Verify / check all account opening related mandates are received prior to opening of A/Cs.
- Maintain a check list for opening of all types of accounts.
- Follow established procedures for the balancing and reconciliation of CHQ books.
- Input all transactions related to the dept. and ensure compliance with a 95% error free rate.
- Achieve set targets in terms of service standards for customer transactions.
- Capitalize on cross-selling opportunities for walk ins/existing customers
- Prepare credit proposals for personal loans, auto loans and credit cards to be sent to Retail Credit for approvals.
- Follow a retention process for account closure stating reasons for the closure properly
- Ensure that supporting documents fulfilling credit policy is adhered to.
- Follow non- negotiable "greet, smile, help & thank" values of the Bank.
- Ensure that the daily and monthly targets on the following are met: Sales Target, Customer feedback forms, referral calls- daily, outbound calls- daily
- Ensure all applications are checked to achieve 95% error free rate at the branch prior to forwarding these to the Operations Manager.
- Answer telephone calls within 3 rings with the standard bank greeting, and / or that the voice mailbox feature is activated; return calls.
- Ensure all complaints are sent to the Customer Care Dept. without delay.
- Comply with Anti Money Laundering (AML) guidelines & ensure that only legitimate funds reach our counters.
- Ensure strict adherence to operating procedures & credit guidelines.
- Periodic product knowledge tests and meet the target percentage of each.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities consistent with the role as assigned by management.

Requirements

- University degree / Higher Diploma ( Nationals ) or equivalent Qualification
- 2-3 years experience in customer service in a financial institution.

Other Skills Required for the Job:
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of the bank's operating procedures.
