The power, process & nuclear division works within four main sectors which include the following: - nuclear, defence, industry and process and power civil's. We have a successful and distinguished track record of delivering innovative and robust solutions to the standards required by the nuclear industry. The division has long standing relationships with some of the key clients in this sector.

We are actively seeking a planning engineer to join our client based onsite near Abu Dhabi. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work within a specialist nuclear organisation.

Job Spec:
* Assist in reviewing and assessing the accuracy of the prime contractor's project milestone schedule (PMS), critical path schedule (CPS) and project control schedule (PCS) using CPO planning procedure.
* Assist in the development of status reports regarding the PC's engineering, procurement, OSS and fuel project schedule based on actual progress and feedback from all concerned departments.
* Facilitate the development of the corporate programs schedules.
* Assist in forecasting and analysing any potential schedule impacts and prepare related reports.
* Assist in the development of status reports regarding the PC's engineering, procurement, OSS and fuel schedule in order to identify reasons for any discrepancies.
* Assist in the development of status reports regarding the PC's engineering, procurement, OSS and fuel schedule in order to report any discrepancies with the critical paths reported by the PC.
* Provide planning input the chief program office (CPO) monthly and weekly progress reports to facilitate informed decision making.
* Follow all relevant company's HSE policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspect of work in accordance with sound management practices.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of relevant experience and must have a Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline. Experience in a planning function in nuclear EPC project. Also scheduling and planning function on large engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects.

Technically must have reporting skills, scheduling software (primavera and open plan), project management, computer literacy and fluent in English.

Post based in Abu Dhabi with travel. Please note accommodation, subsistence and travel to and from site is included - mobilisation to and from UAE is also provided as well as a tax free salary.
