Job description / Role
• The Planning Engineer “in association with the resident engineer” shall develop the Project execution plan considering the proper engineering techniques and milestone sequences for the Project.
• He will set targets for activities based on each activity of a Project and ensure it meets DM’s specifications and requirements.
• Planning engineers shall make estimations for timescales and costs using specialized design software packages (Primavera).
• One of the major Planning Engineer role is monitoring “day-to- day” work progress for the Project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports by swiftly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
• Tracking and analyzing field results is another key responsibility. Planning engineer continually makes comparisons between planned progress and actual progress and reports any differences to their lead project manager.
• He also studies the impact of alternative approaches.
Requirements
• The Planning engineer must have relevant degree from recognized university and must have civil engineering background with a knowledge and work experience of not less than 10 years in design and construction programing/planning of similar projects.
