Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team in the MEP industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The Planning Engineer will play a key role in the successful execution of projects and will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging assignments.

Responsibilities:
- Develop project schedules and timelines in collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues that could impact the schedule.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure that work is being carried out according to the schedule.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure that resources and materials are available as per the project schedule.
- Prepare and update project reports and communicate schedule updates to the project team and management.
- Analyze project data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to optimize project schedules and processes.
- Work closely with the project team to resolve any scheduling conflicts and minimize disruptions to the project timeline.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to project scheduling and planning.

Salary:
AED 3,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the MEP industry.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential scheduling issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to project scheduling and planning.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional certification in project management or scheduling is a plus.
