Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Review and Approve Contractor Program and planning schedule.
• review of detailed programmes as per contract requirements.
• Review Contractors manpower histogram (trade wise) as per the defined productivity.
• Preparation of a weight system and Reporting system.
• Close monitoring of Progress of work on site against the Project baseline Program
• Coordinate with the Sr. planner/ Planner for loading the manpower, major quantities, Weightage, and cost over the activities of the Programme of work (as required).
• Review the projects cash flow with the commercial manager and verify of the projects measurement tools like S-curve, Tabular reports, histograms, and other KPI’s.
• Review of Contractor program details including the accuracy of the Critical path(s), Float , Milestone etc.
• Insure that QHSE requirements are integrated to the Programmes.
• Insure updated (live) compliance(s) with Authorities new/updated requirements, regulations & Codes.
• Review any additional detailed Programs required by subcontractors.
• Review the allowed provisions of Compliance to Authority approvals within the Contractor Program
• Coordinate, review, Monitor the weekly/monthly reports.
• Highlighting the Area of Concerns on Weekly Basis for all Weekly/ Monthly report.
• Highlight, record all the future problems, and inform the Contractor to take the necessary actions.
• Monitor the manpower & equipment and make sure that they are correct as per Project/ Site conditions.
• Draft and assist Senior Project Manager in preparation of Planning related correspondences to Client/ Contractor
• Attending progress and other required meetings.
• Preparation of Notices for delays, EoT, etc
• Ensure full compliance of Contractor to secure all authority approvals, preparation of detailed Matrix to ensure approvals are well planned in the Project Program
• Review, respond and make recommendation to all delay claims raised by Contractor

Requirements

• Minimum Overall 15+ years’ experience in construction.
• Minimum 5 years PMC /Consultancy Experience working as planning manager
• B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering ( any discipline)
• Must be experienced in the use of Primavera Project Planner ( latest version).
• Must be familiar with planning and scheduling of activities for all aspects of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning for Multi hundred Million residential/commercial projects
• Must have the ability to read and interpret contract terms, conditions and specifications.
Familiar with Experience in FIDIC
• Well informed about local authorities requirements in Abu Dhabi
• Very good knowledge of QA/QC , methods of progress measurements and verification
