Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

The job exists to supervise and administer the program and management functions within the Operational Planning, Aircraft Scheduling, Aircraft LifeCylce Management and Reliability sections for all aircraft types, engines and components. Carry out the execution of technical auditing, analysis, verification, regulatory and performance reporting of key airworthiness tasks, reliability information, ensuring that the Emirates fleet is maintained to the required standards of quality and airworthiness as defined by the regulatory authority and Engineering Procedures Manual.

Job Outline:

Generic:

- Supervise and provide training and developmental opportunities to team members to facilitate knowledge dissemination, skill & process improvements, procedural awareness, ensuring elimination of inefficient methods, enhanced productivity, and implementation of departmental improvements /system changes. Administer updates for KPI / Error measurement processes & continual improvement initiatives. Provide supervision and guidance on a daily basis for all direct reports and team members & provide on-going update to subordinate personnel based on fleet / destination developments and Corporate / Departmental financial & business performance.
- Ensure team members adhere to the Time and Attendance policy, challenge underperformance and that every team member has a fully developed MyBC review and is provided with continual objective feedback to ensure developmental improvements in line with Operational business needs & career enhancement opportunities.
- Act as deputy for immediate supervisor and actively seek improvement opportunities within the departments and interface business units to create and deliver proactive beneficial changes to the group.

Specific

Operational Planning:
- Ensure creation and applicability of all maintenance work packages and work scope requirements from the Ultramain system to ensure the on-going maintenance and modifications required to ensure compliance of the Emirates fleet in the Line, Base and Heavy Maintenance environments.
- Ensure all work packages are analysed for load capacity balance and are fully resourced and estimated for manpower and materials for handover and acceptance by the production and production support teams.
- Ensure that all work packages are compliant with all regulatory requirements.
- To supervise the day to day planning activities in the Base Ops and Base Heavy and Line Support, to ensure aircraft compliance is maintained through workpack creation and control. To create work packages to the same standard for outsourced maintenance events.

Aircraft Scheduling:
- Create and publish amendments to both the Emirates Operating Plan, (issued by Commercial Planning) in order to identify and ensure availability of aircraft downtime required for various maintenance checks and provide statistical reports to concerned sections within Engineering for their advance resource / capacity planning and necessary action.
- Provide feedback to Commercial Planning and if necessary conduct negotiations/ suggest alternate solutions to accommodate Engineering requirements within the Operating Plan and the Monthly Aircraft Movements within the Scheduling system to optimise aircraft utilisation and establish standard rules and guidelines for use by Planning Controllers in the preparation of Daily Aircraft Allocation and Quarterly Maintenance Plans.
- Review Daily Aircraft Allocation and Quarterly Maintenance Plan prepared by Planning Coordinators to ensure optimum utilisation of maintenance check frequencies, compliance with legal limitations, proper staggering of maintenance inputs, inclusion of all relative aircraft registrations and accurate and error free information prior to dissemination within the Emirates network.
- Implement all actions arising from AOG events and the daily morning Engineering briefing meeting providing solutions, coordination and active feedback on availability of maintenance opportunities within the aircraft allocation schedule and solutions relating to operation and maintenance requirements ensuring optimum aircraft utilisation and avoiding/ minimising operational and engineering disruption.
- Cater for ad hoc requirements such as photoshoots and assigning specific aircraft to locations for publicity or media reasons as requested by Corporate Communications or other departments as necessary.

Reliability:
- Responsible for collection of Reliability data for Systems / Components and verification of all data for accuracy and validity. Ensure that the reliability data collected is transformed to prepare and produce the Monthly Technical and Fleet Performance report or the Quarterly component report.
- Ensure daily processing of Delays, Incidents, Flight hours and cycles data, Extended Twin Engine Operations (ETOPS) parameters, Engine and Auxilary Power Units (APU) performance data, Pireps data processing and component unscheduled data processing on a daily basis in the reliability information system workspaces.
- Ensure that data in the workspaces are verified and highlight anomalies in data to the originating departments for appropriate corrective actions and save all verified data in the reliability information system. Responsible for executing data integrity functions that are related to ensuring how all engineering data can be kept valid in databases considering data standards as per engineering and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for Upload of Flight hours, log pages, delays, component removal etc for Inservice data.Track component monitoring document revision and update reliability report and liaise with Maintenance program for revision update. Assist in Technical review meeting delays/Pilot Reports (PIREPs)/ Components trend analysis, Technical Review Meeting (TRM) agenda analysis
- Conduct Delay trend analysis for top 10 ATA and highlight the same. Carry out Severity Index calculations based on Delays, incidents, cancellations, In-Flight Shut Down, diversion, Air Turn back Ground Incidents and highlight concern areas. Publish and keep all records updated on the central repository.
- Prepare the Weekly Fleet Performance report, monthly Executive dashboard and the weekly Original Equipment Manufacturers reports. Maintain the distribution lists for all such Reliability periodic reports and ensure distribution as per procedures.
- Conduct Delay/Incident/ trend analysis for significant items and highlight to Engineers. Create backup data every 6 months for all critical reliability data for system and components from network and or local hard drives.

Asset Life Cycle Management (ALCM):
- Responsible for the preparation, audit and approval of documentation, as per the ALCM Standards Manual, to support End-Of-Lease (EOL) activity for aircraft, engines, landing gears and other relevant assets. In addition, ensure all these documentation is uploaded into Stream and given the appropriate approvals.
- Act as a focal point for the Lessors?s specific queries relating to the documentation standards produced. Ensure all queries raised by the Lessor are answered and closed off within the specific time-frames of the EOL project.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate preparation and presentation of documentation to support Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) audits, Periodic Compliance Audits (PCA) and Maintenance Compliance Audits (MCA) submittals. Ensuring each is audited and discrepancies highlighted, investigated and necessary Corrective/Preventative Actions and Route Cass Analysis completed. Ensuring suggestions are put forward for continued improvements and error process elimination.
- Develop, improve and implement processes to continually optimise and reduce cost overheads through implementation of new technology and procedures to best level maximum efficiencies. Develop and manage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) activities and ensure processes exist to detail it?s use along with manhour / system improvements and benefits. Provide detailed Key Performance Indicator reporting and implement continuous improvements ensuring effective LEAN procedures.
- If required, be part of the Project Team responsible for Outsourced Maintenance activities where duties will include scanning and uploading of completed documentation into Stream, updating of component transactions in Ultramain, ensure package closure in Ultramain once a Certificate Of Release has been issued by the Maintenance and Repair Organisation. Updation of non-routine data into Ultramain.
- Be responsible for the oversight and management of the fleet?s engine and landing gear activities relating to ensuring receipt of adequate overhaul/airworthiness documentation, build records updation in Ultramain and document archiving through Stream, on-line repository.
- Organise the functional sections resources to record and administer maintenance records ensuring Airworthiness Compliance, Asset LifeCycle controls, safety and quality standards are maintained. Coordinate with key Stakeholders for reporting and remedial non-conformance action. Administer compliance error measurement findings to eliminate process and procedure discrepancies. Ensure that the activities arising from Department section briefings are resourced effectively.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

- 12 Years schooling or equivalent
- Holders of a Degree in Eng Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic Tech Engineering with 2+ years of experience is acceptable.

Experience :

- Engineering. Planning : 5+ Years
- Experience in Engineering, Planning
- Experience required in Maintenance Planning / Aircraft Scheduling or other associated Technical Support Organisation, with at least 2 years experience coordinating/supervising a team.

Knowledge/skills:

- Must be fully conversant with Aircraft Documentation and Records including AMM, IPC, Work Packages and Maintenance schedules.
- Must have an understanding of Aircraft / Power Plant Systems and Components.
- Sound knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
- Knowledge & use of Airline / MRO M&E Data Management & Digital Documentations Systems is preferred.
- Knowledge & experience in the application & administration of Aircraft Regulatory & Legislation requirements associated with Airworthiness Compliance & Management.
- QA Authorisation Stamp Approvals for TR functions 3, 4 and 5 preferred.
