Job description / Role
A leading plastic goods manufacturer has an opening for a Plant Manager position, in the United Arab Emirates. The manufacturer is the largest manufacturer of commercial and industrial plastic in the Middle East, with factories in UAE, KSA, Russia, and many other countries.
The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. It is the Plant Manager’s duty to develop processes that will maximize safety, quality and productivity.
The Plant Manager’s responsibility is to plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations. Responsibilities also include developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. Staying up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts is also key.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
• 10+ years’ experience in managing Injection Molding & Blow Molding plants.
• Thorough knowledge in Polymers, Additives, and Plastic Processing.
• Knowledge in modern manufacturing systems in plastic processing.
• Good understanding in mould design.
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory processes.
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• B.S. in Engineering is a must.
• Masters in Engineering is a plus.
• Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
