Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Wood is currently looking to recruit a competent PMC Senior Project Engineer to join our team and be based in ADNOC HQ office to support multiple upstream strategic projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- To manage strategic projects directly under Upstream portfolio as Mandous, WEP, Salt Dome etc. with regular project monitoring and delivery with the objective of completing the project on-time, with 100% HSE compliance and highest quality
- Manage any studies or FEED of strategic projects directly assigned to the Division
- Ensure Projects in Upstream portfolio are delivered within budget and schedule, minimizing risks to ADNOC
- Embed best practices within the Project execution in Group companies and develop Project management capabilities by implementing the procedures and guidelines
- Support Project Upstream cost reduction initiatives, Peer reviews, workshops, value improvement practices
- Provide project management expertise to projects from ASSESS to EXECUTE phases and hand over to operation
- Responsible for Oversight and Governance ensuring timely execution with optimal cost, technical integrity, state of art technology and highest HSE standards
- Ensure alignment on Project Priorities with other directorates and functions within ADNOC
- Ensure that Project Objectives and ADNOC Strategies are developed for all Projects consistent with Management objectives and communicate to Project leaders
- Ensure Projects alignment with all concession holders, other stakeholders and manage all Master plan mandates
- Manage external and internal interfaces and communications with ADNOC management making sure that strategies and objectives are cascaded to OPCO's project teams
- Support Project subcommittee appropriate and ensure effective Comments and Resolutions are issued
- Review and present the performance of Upstream Projects to Management
- Reviews and monitor performance of the team to ensure meeting of KPI targets effectively
- Manage and oversee Gate reviews and approvals with robust integration of sub-surface, surface facilities, operation, maintenance, integrity expectations
- Lead , participate various task forces initiated by Senior Management (related to project / technical, Operational Integrity and Organizational reviews) as necessary, and contributes to various discussions / meetings with Senior Management and Shareholders. E.g. Claims Task Force, Force Majeure
- Leads in setting upstream projects overall performance goals & measurement criteria and in securing agreement with the OPCO's, ADNOC managements and other Shareholders
- Develop and implement commercial & technical strategies for achievement of corporate business objectives
- Resolution of strategic opportunities and challenges arising from changing economic conditions of the markets in which various business partners of Major Projects operate
- Support in developing Project Standards and processes, for all aspect including project controls, information management, administration, Performance, planning, budgeting, risk management and reporting for the upstream projects to ensure that projects are executed consistently with predictable performance
- Support Investment committee governance on Financial Investment Decision (FID) by facilitating Investment process as Business line focal point

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 15 years of experience mainly being in oil and gas upstream industry
- Held Senior / Lead Project Engineer role for at least 5 years
- Been in PMC or direct Client roles for at least 3 years
- Strong GCC client projects experience
- Extensive experience in following areas
- Prepare scope of work and other technical data and specifications
- Technical evaluation of all the proposals
- Carryout feasibility studies on facilities optimization, synergy, and integration
- Perform upstream downstream scope alignment studies
- Carryout out and participate in technical workshops with other stakeholders
- Prepare Integrated schedules, cost estimates, risk registers
- Liaise with Third parties specialized studies
- Support in finalizing Operation Philosophy and Maintenance Schedules
